Natalia Pereira

Welcome to my page

My name is Natalia Pereira and I am originally from Annapolis, MD. I am a current Senior at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. I am a Communications Studies Major with a Graphic Design Minor, closing out my last semester here to graduate in Fall 2023! In my future, I plan on getting a job first as a Graphic Designer or Social Media Coordinator, eventually to become a Creative Director of a company; focusing on managing social media, web, logo, and advertisement design. This website will highlight some of my best work from my 4 years here at Saint Joe's, previous internships, and beyond. I hope you enjoy it!

A Little More About Me:

A few things I am particularly passionate about are Ice Hockey and singing/acting. I have been playing Ice Hockey for most of my life and the same goes for singing. I am also an actress and a musician: I have performed in multiple on-stage shows and I love composing my own music to sing and play on the piano or ukulele. I am passionate about all things art. I love painting, graphic design, drawing, creating collages... Anything that is hands-on and creative! Growing up in Annapolis, I have also come to love the outdoors, particularly boating and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. I currently work as a Professional Princess for the Neverland Company and Princess Party Playtime, two kids' entertainment companies that cater to children all around Maryland and NJ/Philadelphia. My job involves dressing up as a princess, singing, playing, and reading to children...and making their dreams come true, of course! With this, I have also had the opportunity to form my own "princess" Instagram which I manage.

Excited to Dive Right In!

By this point, I have taken nearly every Communications and Graphic Design-related course offered at SJU. This semester, I am taking three Communications courses; Health Communication Advocacy, Social Media and Community Engagement, and the Communications Internship course, which discusses and displays my experience as an intern in the field: this past summer, I had the pleasure of interning with Wawa, Inc. as their Media Services Intern. In the past, I have taken Communications Theory and Practice, Photos in the Age of Social Media, Digital Field Methods, Visual Design, Ethics in Communication, Non-Profit Communications, Web Design, Social Media Discourse, Communications Senior Capstone, and Civic Media. I have also taken Fundamentals of Graphic Design, Typography, Digital Photography 1, and Commercial Design! You'll see a lot of my work from these courses featured on my portfolio site!
