My Freshman year, Fall Semester at SJU, I was given the opportunity to re-design and re-brand our neighboring Elementary/Middle School's logo. I attended a couple of meetings with their student council to get feedback on what the students envisioned for a new design, and came up with multiple versions of a new logo for them to vote on. They decided on this final version of the logo, which is now used in all of their branding, promotional materials, and merchandise. It is embroidered on their uniforms, and even painted on their basketball court! Although I got some input from the students on their core values and expectations for a new logo, I was the sole creator.
My Freshman year, Spring Semester at SJU, a popular organization on campus called the Women's Leadership Initiative held a Logo Design contest. Competing against multiple contestants with original logo designs, mine was voted to be the winner. I recieved feedback from the committee about slight changes and adaptations, and now the final logo is used in all of their posts and branding!
My Senior Capstone project involved the continuation and revamping/rebranding of the existing SJU Speaks Instagram account originally created in Fall of 2021 (@sjuspeaks) which provides a public outlet for students of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA to share their pressing opinions, concerns, tips, and ideas publicly, with the goal of receiving attention from an abundance of other students, faculty and staff at SJU.
One of my final deliverables for my Senior Capstone project was a designed and printed Brand Book, which outlined the branding standards and purpose behind certain choices used in my redesign of content for the social media account, @sjuspeaks.
